Camp Chinqueka is located in Bantam, Connecticut in the beautiful hills of Litchfield County. We are just 90 miles North of New York City, making us very convenient for families in the Tri-State area (1 hour from the CT shore, 2 hours from NYC, 3 hours from Princeton). Chinqueka’s cabins are situated on along the shores of Mt. Tom Pond, one of Connecticut’s nicest spring-fed lakes.
Driving to Camp
Most of our families drive to camp to drop off and/or pick up their campers. Just enter our address 1519 Bantam Road, Bantam, CT 06750 in your GPS and look for a white Camp Awosting sign as you turn into camp.
Flying to Camp
Campers flying to Chinqueka from inside the US can fly into Hartford (Bradley International Airport – BDL), located 1 hour from Chinqueka. International campers are recommended to fly into New York (JFK), located 2 hours from Chinqueka. All campers flying in are greeted in the airport by uniformed Chinqueka staff, who accompany them on the ride back to camp.
Come Check Us Out!
The best way to view Chinqueka is during the summer months, when camp is in session. But if you live nearby or are really curious, we love to show off camp during the fall and spring as well. Just give us a call or email Amanda to set up a date that works for you and your daughter.
